Indifference Engines II is for four individual metronomes. It is written specifically for the Tempo Advance^TM application developed by Froze Ape Pte. Ltd that is available for iPhone/iPad. The work may be adapted for other metronomes that have similar features.

This works exploits the sound set capabilities of the metronome as an instrument and explores the diffuse qualities of polytempi and odd alignments of different divisions of time across space.

The title could be in reference to the mechanical nature of the metronome instrument; it could also be in reference to certain traits of human nature.
