Two Possession Variations is a miniature written for trombonist Ben Lanz and vocalist Lawrence Mesich as part of Lanz’s graduate recital at Stony Brook University. The piece finds humor in deconstructing a line of music from what is often thought of as one of the more poignant songs by the rock band The Doors.
