Everything is Blowing Away
Instrumentation: clarinet and piano
This work, dedicated to duo per se, is a culmination of numerous divergent musical ideas that were consolidated into a single collection of loosely collected material. Most of the music is borne out of the idea of vacillating between continuous fragmentation and undulating stasis. I wrote this piece at the cusp of a time of great uncertainty, anxiety, and isolation, with the title coming from a phrase my son had a tendency of incorporating into his play.
