conduit is a return, of sorts, to my ongoing pursuit of a music that is constantly filtered, muted, hushed, and distorted. The work explores the “in-betweenness” of liminal spaces. Sounds are constantly in transition and flux, with an ongoing sense of a specific idea “breaking free” at any given moment only to be thwarted or re-directed in some way.

This work was written for and is dedicated to the Bergamot Quartet and was premiered by them on March 14th, 2025 at Tulane University.
